1st Soccer Practice

The boys had their 1st soccer practice tonight. They did so well. I'm still smiling!! I took over a
hundred pictures during half the practice. They looked so big out there tonight. Kinda makes me sad! Where did my 4lb babies go?!

The "Running" Stitch

Jason got his stitches out today and it "freaks ME OUT" too look at these pictures. The way the stitches are just hanging outta his skin..hahahaha eeewww..The assistant said these were called a running stitch and plastic surgeons use these. It's amazing b/c you can't even tell where his incisions are..Totally cool!!! I even watched this whole procedure w/o even feelin lightheaded..I impressed myself!! There was more to gettin those babies out than I thought. The dude said they were stuck in there pretty good. It didn't "tickle" like I told Jason it would.

"The Bears"

Check out the football helmet Jason bought for the boys room. I think it's pretty darn cool and the kids totally love it. Jason had a coupon to the NFLshop.com or something like that and had a mini shopping spree. We decided to go with The Chicago Bears Helmet.

BFF Club

I picked Macie up from school yesterday and she informed me that her and her best friend -Tayonna- started a "BFF Club". She asked me if I wanted to join and I said sure. She then informed me that I have to take a "secret identity" test - huh? What? My 6-yr old is saying words like "BFF & secret identity" haha

I've included a glimpse of our household in the near future. I love this video!!

Does the truth really hurt?

During Jason's physical therapy visits I've seen a new breed of people - haha. The other day when we went there - there was a guy who had a cast on his hand. I overheard him saying he was "noodling" (it means catching catfish with your hands. You like stick your hand in all this underwater brush or something. I've only seen it on tv. I have no experience with "noodling" and wouldn't do it for NOTHING.) So anyways, he's noodling and he catches a bad azz catfish that breaks his middle finger in 4 places - hahaha..Then today I'm in the waiting room with this guy and his wife. The dad is bad mouthing their kids (who weren't there), while his wife was brushing out her long, long hair and then started asking me about the boys. He kept on saying how they were supposed to have twins, but luckily didn't and started asking me about their personalities. His wife who didn't have any experience with twins KNEW ALL ABOUT IT. I never had to answer a question cause she would answer for me - hahahaha. This guy had a bad accident and he said was pronounced dead for 2 minutes.

Then Eli started holding up 1 finger and saying "one tooth". I say "you have more than 1 tooth" again Eli says "1 tooth". I ask him "are you saying 1 tooth" and he points to the guy and says "that guy has only 1 tooth" LMAO..sssssssshhhhhhhh, I say. Which later I heard the guy sayin all his teeth were knocked out and a page of other stuff that was broken or missing or SOMETHING. Then an elderly couple comes out of the physical therapy area and again Eli points and says "that man ugly". I try my best firm look and say "have some manners! act like you've been somewhere before", then start busting out laughing.

Shoulder Surgery Pictures

Here's pictures of the inside of Jason's shoulder during his surgery. The reason for his surgery was stretched out tendons, so the goal was to shorten them up, I believe. I've tried for 2 days to upload the video, but it's too long so I just took pictures of the video. This is amazing stuff and I don't understand it a bit. Unfortunately, this is over my head and I have no clue what I'm looking at. I think, the white stuff on the right is his tendon and the white on the left is his bone.

Here he's drilling a hole

Here's the screws that I think went through the tendon (seen in the picture) and into the bone(which isn't in the picture). Here again I have NO CLUE what I'm talkin about.

In the video it looks as if he's having trouble getting this hook through the green tube. He hooks that hook through the hole where the rope is. I had to turn away during this part.

Overall Jason's done really well. Physical therapy went better than expected.

I want to say thank you Amy, Eric, mom, Richard and Samantha for my b-day present.

The Best Birthday

We've been celebrating my upcoming bday all weekend. Today the kids bought me a sack full of goodies, which makes for the best presents. They bought me:
  • the colossal volume express mascara which Macie was all about. she told jason that this makes your eye lashes grow bigger & bigger (lol) she saw it on tv, of course
  • i got some finger files (you laugh, but i really, really needed'em & can't wait to use them)
  • 2 tubes of lip gloss
  • trio eye shadow compact
  • AND some OPI nail polish in CAJUN SHRIMP. LOVE, LOVE this color and i was so impressed when i recognized the color. my voice is heard in the house after all
  • last but not least some very, very cute sandals from jason
  • i have to add jason also bought me some kick azz jeans, an awesome fire pit and a yummy cookie cake.

As Spongebob would say: IT'S THE BEST DAY E-VER!

A special shoutout to my dad, karen, patti, mark & grandma kay & Jim for early b-day presents. Thank you guys!!

Sleepin in the Blind

This was one of the things we bought in Tulsa on our Tuesday evening trip. This is a hunting blind for those of you that don't know (lucky you). haha Anyways, the kids think this is a tent (which I guess in a way it is) and are thrilled by it. Wednesday at lunch Jason popped it up in the playroom and I let the boys nap in it - kinda like they were camping.

Dancing Kids

Here's a video of the kids dancing to my whistling. Eli's trying to whistle also. I don't whistle long b/c I keep laughing.

I Smell Some'n

Tonight Jason made a cake, but the cake wasn't ready until after the kids went to bed- coincidence? - I think NOT! haha So anyways, an hour after the boys are tucked into bed Jason has a piece of cake-then goes into the boys room to tell them to go to sleep (yeah, still not asleep) and
Eli says "I smell somethin" "are you eat'n cake"?
Jason says "no it's still too hot"? and leans over and gives him a kiss (remember he did have a piece and Eli can smell it on his breath)
and my hilarious Eli says "well I smell cake".
haha

Living Room Baseball

Here's a daily glimpse of the boys playin "pretend baseball" in the living room. One pitches to the other one then they both run the bases and slide into "home" which is usually some piece of furniture. In the video below the loud crash you hear is Austin sliding into a backpack full of hot wheel cars. We've got some major baseball fever in this house. No one can wait til next year.

The kids think the video below is hysterical!

Cowboy, Pottery & Ice Cream

yee-haw!!

We decided to have some fun today and paint some pottery. A tad pricey, but the kids had fun.

And some ice cream afterwards.
