Brink of a Senior

Here's Miss B's senior pics. We had a great time!! Thought I'd post a few. I have tons more to go through. Beautiful girl!

The Same Every Morning

I think I've mentioned this before, but every morning Eli puts his bear (originally Macie's) that he sleeps with in front of his face and peeks around the kitchen corner. Then he'll make the bear wave. He's so adorable!! I'll give Jason credit for taking this picture. I was still in bed. Even after nap time he does this. It's so funny!!

More Garden + A Sweet Boy

First off here's some adorable pics of my sweet boy Eli..He lives every minute of every day in a hat and I LOVE IT.

Okay it's official: WE HAVE CORN! The arrows are pointing to the stalks. Not sure when you pick it, though.

Now this is the beginnings of okra. We've been getting tons, but I saw this cone looking thing today and thought it was "interesting". The flowers I posted earlier were there yesterday, but not today.

The Garden

Here's some new pictures of "the garden" minus the cucumbers. They were going everywhere and smothering the okra and squash, so Jason got rid of them. I'm actually very impressed with the garden. The corn was about that high when the winds destroyed them last time.

This is a flower from the okra. Not sure how this works so excuse my ignorance.

And we're getting some corn! yay! Not sure how this works either.

1st Pedicure, bubbles and bikes

This was the second part of our "girl time". Macie got her first full pedicure and LOVE IT. She said it was awesome and so happy that they washed her legs, too. hahahaha

Here's Austin in the tub by himself, which is a rare occurrence. But both boys love to pretend to be "mer-man".

Thursday we had a family stroll around the neighborhood. Macie's officially riding w/o training wheels, so now the boys want their training wheels off, which I'm seriously thinking about doing.

I Can Do It

Macie's learning how to ride her bike with no training wheels. We've practiced a little each night and this morning she did very well. She's still not riding long w/o stopping, and she won't turn at ALL, but it won't be long until she gets the hang of it. She's super proud of herself! Way to go Macie!!

WARNING: I yell out on this so turn your volume down

Twin Language

Ever since the boys could talk they'd say the word "me-mo" I think. We'd be at Wal-Mart and they'd see a stranger, point and say "me-mo, me-mo" and die laughing. They've even called me me-mo before. For the life of me I can not figure out what they're saying or referring to. I've asked them "are you saying nemo or elmo" and they say "no" and laugh. I've always figured they're callin me something dirty in their own "twin" language. Tonight at dinner Eli says "me-mo" and both boys burst out in hysterics. Macie and I both try again to interpret what they're saying. I ask Austin "what does that mean" and he says "it's a dirty word", which I've figured all along..But does a 4 year old really know which words are dirty? With no help from Jason - he starts tellin them to say various quotes from Talladega nights, which I stop b/c I don't want to be at Wal-Mart and them sayin those nice quotes to total strangers..The only thing Eli remembered from his Talladega Nights lesson was "you white trash can". hahahahahaha

Picture Perfect

Sunday I was flipping through the Lowe's Creative Ideas magazine and I came across the cutest thing ever and just had to try it. I totally suck at measurements and precise cutting, so I nominated Jason for the project, which he mastered. Here's the end result: Something just a little different.

I got the above picture blown up to a 11x14, which was supposed to be in black & white. Nothing was going right that day, so I dealt with the mistake and made myself accept the color photo. We bought 1x6x8 size board. Jason marked each of the photo's dimensions on the board then cut the board accordingly. Then he cut the picture into the sizes of the cut board, which is what he's doing in the photo below.

We decided to add this step into the Lowe's instructions.

Last we just sprayed the board with spray adhesive and added the photos. And of course add your wall hangers on the back.

The Griswold's Go Fishing

We're bored outta our minds and Jason has the bright idea to take the kids fishing at Well's lake. I naturally wasn't a big fan, but decided to go along for the ride and laughter. The kids were totally pumped!! Picture this: we're walking along the bank, each kid has their fishing pole, I'm carrying my camera bag and Off bug spray and Jason's carrying 5 folding chairs and his tackle box. I'm sure we looked freaking hilarious!! The Griswold's had arrived at that point. So the first spot that looked good to Jason ended up being infested with ants, which bit Jason a few dozen times. OFF to the second spot!! Which again was infested with ant farms. So our third and final destination had no ants. The brilliant fishing idea turned into a nightmare. The wind was blowing every one's bobbers into the bank, then their fishing lines would get tangled on all the overgrown grass along the bank, and Macie was terrified of every flying insect in site - so needless to say we left after a total of 30 minutes

Taco Bells

We're driving down Towson a few weeks ago and just happen to pass Taco Bell. Eli says "I wanna eat at Taco Bells". It's been probably at least 4-5 years since I've eatten at Taco Bell, and my kids have definitely not eaten there. I have no idea where he got that. The only tv they watch is Nickelodeon and I don't think TB commercials are on that channel..I could be wrong, though. So tonight we got Taco Bells for dinner. I HAD no clue what to get the kids. I took forever on what to order and the chic working the drive thru had to help me..hahahaha What can I say....They got some sort of soft taco w/o lettuce..I don't even know what they got - haha-plus some cinnamon twist. So the next thought you have is "Did they like it"? By the time I sat down to eat my dinner Austin was done. He totally inhaled his, I'm talkin swallowed it whole. ;0)
